Chalimbana University

Chalimbana University is a public higher education institution located in Chongwe District along the Great East Road in Lusaka Province, Zambia. Established originally in 1939 as a teacher training centre, it has grown into a recognized university known for its motto of “Integrity, Service and Excellence.” As one of Zambia’s public universities, it is classified among the top tier of institutions authorized to offer qualifications up to the highest academic levels, including postgraduate research degrees.

The university offers a broad range of academic programmes across multiple schools and faculties. Key areas of study include Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Leadership and Business Management, Sports, Music and Fine Arts, and other related disciplines. In Education alone, the offerings span primary and secondary education, special education, guidance and counselling, community education, and ICT with education. Programmes in business management cover subjects such as accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, human resource management and public administration.
