Applications are invited from suitably qualified Zambian Nationals that meet the minimum requirements to contest for scholarships under the Government of Romania Scholarship Scheme for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Available scholarships are: PhD, Masters and Undergraduate degrees in all fields available at the participating Romanian universities except for Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.
Each year, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provides a number of scholarships to citizens from non-EU countries. Only candidates having good results in education, respectively an average of the study years, for the last graduated school, of at least 7 (seven) corresponding to the scoring system in Romania or the “Good” score, as the case, are eligible.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants should:
- Be Zambian citizens with Green National Registration Cards (NRC).
- Must have Birth Certificate
Academic Eligibility Requirements
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must have full Grade 12 certificate or results.
- Must have Points 1, 2 or 3 in each subject including English, Mathematics subjects relevant to the intended field of study.
- Having Pure Sciences/Design Technology if applying for, Computing or Engineering programmes.
- In addition, be of minimum age 18 and maximum of 26 years by 01 July 2025.
Master’s Applicants:
- Hold relevant Bachelor’s degree with at least Merit.
- Must have full Grade 12 certificate/result.
PhD Applicants:
- Hold relevant Bachelors and Master’s degrees with at least a Merit for both degrees.
- Must have full Grade 12 certificate/results

How to Apply
Candidates can access the platform at https://studyintomania.gov.ro via the Apply for MEA Scholarships button or directly at Study in Romania. The platform can be accessed in both English and French.
The required documents include; diplomas, transcripts, birth certificate and passport, CV – all described in the application process.
