The science of using medical imaging techniques (X-rays, Ultrasound, CT, MRI) to look inside the human body for diagnosis. In Zambia, this is a “bridge” role where senior practitioners often perform film reporting in the absence of a Radiologist.
Regulated by HPCZ. Students usually choose between a 3-year Diploma (leading to Technologist status) or a 4-year BSc (leading to Radiographer status).
Typical Core Modules: Radiographic Anatomy, Radiation Physics, Image Processing, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, and MRI.
